Outdoor College is a community project that offers nature based wellbeing and outdoor learning. We are here for the learning and wellbeing of young people and adults.
Outdoor College is based just outside of Bristol in the beautiful surroundings of Brown Rock Woodland (click for directions) in Tickenham, North Somerset. The setting in over 20 acres of woodland and open fields has been generously offered by the owner in order to create a space to benefit the community and to help restore the landscape.
A key principle we believe is that the health and wellbeing of people is intimately linked to the health of the environment around us.
We therefore help people access the multiple benefits of nature connection through facilitated programmes.
Alongside that a new workforce is needed to help us restore health to people and places. There fore we offer outdoor education in a holistic land based curriculum that includes, organic food growing; nature, health & social care; and conservation land management.
There fore healthy people and healthy planet comes together in this exciting and innovative project.
